About Us

The Banyan Group is a leading international operator and developer of premium resorts, hotels, residences and spas, with a collection of award - winning brands.

The Group’s primary business is centered on four brands: the award - winning Banyan Tree and Angsana, as well as newly established Cassia and Dhawa. Banyan Group also operates the leading integrated resort in Thailand – Laguna Phuket -- through the Group’s subsidiary, Laguna Resorts & Hotels Public Company Limited. Two other integrated resorts – Laguna Bintan in Indonesia and Laguna Lăng Cô in Central Vietnam – complete the status of the Group as the leading operator of integrated resorts in Asia.

Laguna Resorts and Hotels, a subsidiary of Banyan Tree Holdings Limited, acquired over 550 acres of land on the site of an abandoned tin mine at Bang Tao Bay, Phuket, Thailand.

Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket (formerly known as Dusit Laguna Resort) opened.

Laguna Beach Resort opened.

Sheraton Grande Laguna Phuket and the Laguna Phuket Golf Club opened.

Laguna Home land plots became available for purchase.

Laguna Resorts and Hotels listed on Stock Exchange of Thailand.

Property Sales operations commenced with the Allamanda condominium units.

Canal Village shopping centre opened.

The resort’s flagship hotel, Banyan Tree Phuket opened.

Banyan Tree Bintan, Indonesia is launched.

Quest Laguna Phuket Adventure opened.

Laguna Holiday Club commenced operations.

The Angsana brand was launched with the openings of Angsana Bintan and Angsana Great Barrier Reef.

Laguna Property commences operations with the sales launch of Laguna Residences and Laguna Townhomes.

The Company acquired a large parcel of land adjacent to Laguna Phuket for future development opportunities.

The Westin Banyan Tree is rebranded as Banyan Tree Bangkok.

The Company acquired Thai Wah Plaza Limited which houses Banyan Tree Bangkok and commercial offices.

The second phase of Banyan Tree Residences opened.

Banyan Tree Lijiang, People’s Republic of China and Laguna Holiday Club Resort opened.

Banyan Tree Holdings Limited is listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange.

The launch of Banyan Tree Residences, which allows investors to buy their own signature villa, townhouse or apartment in Banyan Tree resorts.

Laguna property initiates sales launch of Laguna Village Phase I and Dusit Thani Pool Villas Phase I.

Banyan Tree Management Academy opened.

Laguna Property released Laguna Village Phase II and The Lofts at Laguna Village properties.

The Company invested in the Banyan Tree Indochina Hospitality Fund which will be developing an integrated resort in Hue, Vietnam.
